Unable to Find Modern Loading Data Please Help!

    Hello All,

I have a Mannlicher Stutzen in the original 8X50R Mannlicher caliber. I have 197 grain .323 bullets, and cases but I cannot find ANY modern smokeless powder loading data for that, or even anyone who will help me make some up. I have IMR 4350 and Accurate Arms 4350 powders already. I've looked in 2 of my loading books and they don't even mention the caliber! Note, this is NOT the 8X56R M-30, but the ORIGINAL 8X50R Mannlicher.

I am planning on a big shoot in a few weeks and REALLY would like to shoot this gun, please help!

    Yours,
    Drachenblut

From Cartridges of the World. 8x50R Austrian Mannlicher. Just a few more loads for you to consider.

    Bullet Powder MV ME

    159 gr. IMR 3031 48 grs. 2460 2142

    227 gr. IMR 3031 45 grs. 2040 2102

There is also a 244 gr. bullet but that is the same load as the 227 gr. bullet.

From the Visíer Special on "Sportschiessen mit Ordonnanzwaffen" (Target Shooting with Service Rifles" - which is a must, even if you can't read Germanicon - you can read the figures for the loads!

    S&B 196 gn FMJ 0.323" Vihtavuori N140 41gn, sights at 600 (Schritt)
    S&B 196 gn FMJ 0.323" Accurate 2520 44 gn, sights at 500 (Schritt)
    Sight settings for 100 meters.
