Arrow Chinese Civil War ( 1948 ) Movie: The Assembly -- Lots of Milsurp Guns & Gear.

The Hong Kong/PRC produced movie was released in 2008. Many scenes includes weapons and equipment from most of the major arms producing nations of the mid-20th Century: US , USSR , the UKicon & Commonwealth , Czechoslovakiaicon , etc. Looks like the movies includes action scenes from both the Chinese Civil War and the PLA intervention during the Korean War.

    Trailer with sub-titles:

Action scene ( Not for kid's eyes).

Quite a mix of guns and gear on both sides.

    Thanks for the thanks.
The video ( with English & Frenchicon sub-titles ) is available from the usual suspects : Newtflix , Amazon , E-bay , etc.

Here is a U-Tube link that is a little longer, but ends before the "shooting the prisoner" scene. It is also higher resolution. I could have sworn that I saw a Johnson rifle being used.

Looked like a Johnson to me as well. The cloth wrapped around the forstock and handguard was an interesting touch.

I have seen some of the battle scenes from the movie on u-tube and I am 99% sure that is a Johnson, plus just about every other rifle use in WWII was used in that movie.
