Unhappy Inland Stock on Gun Broker

I was in on the bidding for this inland stock (gatsx) I can't believe what it went for at the end, $380.00 . My max bid wasn't even close. That bidder really wanted it. Was that stock worth it???
Anyone have an inland stock that's about that condition that I can pick up for around $275?

Call Damon at Whatacountry, I am confident he can hook you up. I cannot view Gunbroker from work, but if it was a really nice high wood they do fetch big money once in a while.

Not exactly a great deal, but not a bad one either. Consider a T2 barrel band is worth at least $125 or more, handguard $20, and butt plate $15. No rebuild marks and a crisp crossed cannons stamp made it a pretty attractive package.

    I bought it
The whole package may be $50 to high.
I had him send me very detailed pictures.
The t2 band is a double slash and the stock is in very good shape.
So as we were talking about on the CMPicon site about the paratrooper that the guy got from his father. If you buy high you only bought to soon

If that buyer asked the right questions about that Type II band and got a few (better) pictures of it sent his way.
I'd have to say........ If the band is real.
Ole Daves picked up a nice stock set and band.
    $380 well spent.

I've been watching the auctions for months now and this one was the best I've seen. I lost out to one afew months ago and wish I'd gone higher. Another, I won but when I recieved it, it had a m2 cut and a repaire which where questions i'd asked the seller before bidding, he said no, he did take it back. I guess I'm going to have to step to the plate and spend some hard earned dollars next time. Send me an e-mail next time your going on vacation away from your computor so I know I'll have a chance. HAR HAR This is what I love about the little m1 carbine, finding them, reserching what you've found and looking for parts to up grade it. Glad I met the winner, Gene

Stock prices are insane right now. I used to be in the market for a WRA/GHD stock and a Rockola stock but decided that it just wasnt worth it. Then I found a Racker carbine at the CMPicon south store with a decent WRA stock. It also had a WRA Bolt & Rockola trigger parts so I was able to fund a few of my other projects. That racker is one of my best shooters and its a spare parts gun.

DR, I agree. I have been looking for an M1icon Garand stock for my 2.3 mil Winchester for over a year. I keep looking!
