I'm currently looking at a Springfield 1903 that is described as a National Match rifle. It is described as follows:

Cal. 30-06. S# 12466xx Bbl. 24". SA 4-22 star gauge bbl. Stock is cartouched DAL. Buttplate finally checkered. Receiver & upper band has been parkerized. Exposed portions of bbl. retain most of blue.Bore very good w/ stubborn fouling. ACCESSORIES: leather military sling. (10-507/CW) CURIO.

I've seen some pictures of it and they show a polished bolt and a straight stock. I haven't been able to find a source to determine if this serial number is in the range for a national match rifle, but I do understand that the early 20's NM rifles did have the polished bolt.

Can anyone help me out with an opinion as to whether this a could be a NM Springfield?

Thanks, Steve
