    Mine is 562928x

They look really identical, don't they? A very knowledgeable guy thinks it may be original complete down to an AU Underwood recoil plate as there is a close one in the CC files just like it with the same RP. Does yours have the Type 5 TH (oil hole)?

Yes Jim that is an SW (in a circle on the cap) oiler. It was on the carbine when I got it decades ago. I've used it and shot it as a camping gun and shooter. But now that I know what it is, I've bought a SG NPM as a utility gun and put the Win away.

Both are original as far as I know, and both have the T5 housing w/oil hole. Like you, I rarely shoot these. I have several others that I take to the range.

    "EW" safetys

My how times have changed. I can remember buying push safetys in the 80s from Sherwood for $3.00 apiece. I would always buy them 10 at a time and they always sent you 1 or 2 that were marked. Most of the time it would be a "EW". But sometimes something else. Bythe way these were original, not the later fakes. I guess fakes have been around since the original NOS dryed up. I haven't paid to much attention M1icon Carbine parts for a while. I remember they were everywhere at the Tulsa Gun Show in 1997. Some better than others, the best I saw were some type 1 bands. They looked orig. except the screw heads were made wrong. The marking looked 100% correct, most of the others didn't. But the bands weren't tempered correctly, they were to soft.

I have a 5.7 Win all correct EXCEPT repro push safety. Even paid Frodawg big $$ for T2 band. Does anyone have a REAL push safety to sell? If so, please PM me.

Just to clarify, if its marked EW, it must have the quotes, in addition to correct letter size?
