    Lyman Alaskan/redfield mount and rings

Any ideas on the value of a commercial Lyman Alaskan scope with a commercial Redfield mount and rings?

Asking is not the same as getting but this may give you some benchmark:

Lyman Alaskan All Weather model excellent! - eBay (item 350424652156 end time Jan-20-11 11:27:09 PST)

    As well as this:
Lyman Alaskan 2.5X Scope, & Griffin Howe Mount. L@@K!! - eBay (item 250743752056 end time Dec-23-10 09:55:56 PST)

Although the G&H might make a big difference.
    Good luck & Merry Christmas

Wonder how much the Redfield mount and 7/8" rings add to the package.

Nick Stroebels Old Rifle Scopes(2000) gives some suggested values:

$100 to $225 for the scope

$10 to $25. for the rings
$10 to $30 for the base

Recent interest in putting together clones and snipe rifles for CMPicon matches may bump those prices somewhat..

Do you have any Idea what rifle the base is intended for? it wont fit A4 - looks too short and holles are in the wrong places.

    Regards,

    Jim
