    small ring mauser barrels?

does any one know where I can get a "NEW" barrel for my small ring Mauser? I am looking for one that is short chambered for .308, threaded but in the white, I will put a finish on it myself.

I have looked every where I can think of with no luck..

    Thanks

You might consider a Norwegianicon 7.62mm barrel. Large ring, but almost good gunsmith can turn it into a small ring barrel. Cole's Dist has them at $99.99.

    Smith,

I don't think there's any such thing as a cheap, good barrel unless it's milsurp. Bite the bullet, find a good 'smith, and have him turn a Douglas blank for you. Should still be less than $300.

    Good luck.
