    My 1911a1

    Here is my old 1911a1. some of the parts are post war GI like the barrel. What do you all think?

    I take it you use it regularly? It looks good. According to my numbers, the frame is correct for Ithaca also?

    That sort of pistol you don't feel bad about shooting! I had a 2% finish and "semi-melted" looking M1911 that was surprisingly accurate, even shot it at 100yds on occasion.

    I shot it once. Shoots good. It hasn't been shot a lot but been carried! Frame and slide match. I have it as home defense plus my favorate pistol. I thought about making it correct. Hope the experts can tell me what parts to change. Last this is 1943 and what I been told was shipped to Cal during the war and probably used in the Pacific. Might be why it has carry wear. I have one other which is a real nice System 27. These are now starting to be collectable. Ill post some pictures of it tonight.
