    H barrels in stainless anybody?

I'm in an email conversation with the owner of Truflite (barrels), and he tells me they only make barrels in stainless these days.
Would there be any objections, technical or historical, from enfield owners to buying H barrels in stainless instead of the original, ?
The only issue I can see would be the owner re finishing it in black to disguise the color.

H barrels in stainless? for me

Is it the fact that they're stainless or problems with owners painting them black that is causing the soul searching RJ? Modern paints properly prepared and primed will adhere to stainless without any problems. We have green painted stainless barrels on our L96's

Hey Roger, you always come up with interesting questions. TSE/MAB do a CNC pofile in both Stainless and Chrome Molly.

Yet again an awesome solution to a problem, but the solution is half way round the bloody world. Having said that I'm still looking for a decent recipient rifle for the Heavy SMLE barrel I got from Roger a few months back. Attention all - looking for beautiful matching SMLE that your dad didn't clean after using corrosive ammo the first time it was used -

    Hey Roger,

have you talked to Vulcan Barrels in Christchurch? Truflite are rather expensive.
