    Mystery Rear Sight

I recently purchased the rear sight in the photo below on another forum. Any idea what variation of sight this is? It looks like a MK I with the battle peep removed and an aperture disc mounted to the backslide. The sight was removed from a No 4 MK I.

Is this a modified MK I sight, a MK T sight with an aperture disc added, or something else altogether?

Most probably home made with a Cooey 82 rear sight iris screwed into the rear sight slider. I've seen a number of them over the years...

Quite a common and cheap way of adapting a Mk1 sight to fit the wide range of Parker Hale/AJ Parker target sight eyepieces.

    Thanks guys.

Does this mean that the peep on the backslide has been drilled out to a larger diameter accomodate the disc?
