1898 Lee Enfield Carbine cracked action

Hi I have a 1898 No.1 carbine with a crack in the middle of the action.

Can this be fixed ( welded ) or is it just a parts gun now?

I would like to be able to shoot it it has a great bore

I think we are also curious on the location of the cracks, via a photo of them.
I do know that some fellas were rewelding demil Mosin Nagant receivers back together. The big problem with the crack location, is if it is in the receiver ring, or any locking part of the rifle. As Chuck alluded to, usually a cracked receiver is a dead gun..... but like in realty... "location, location, location" on whether it can be safely repaired....

You write "in the middle of the action".
The Lee Enfield action has rear locking lugs. If the crack is in the middle, then it is in front of the locking lugs. The action is scrap.
