HXP .30-06 in Springfield 1903 A3

Several years ago, the CMP issued HXP 77 ammo for the Garand & Springfield matches. There were quite a number of shooters, myself included, that experienced hard bolt lift in the M1903s. I heard said, but did not see or verify, one shooter had a damaged op rod in a Garand. I believe the cases were longer than the norm. I've had no problems with any other year of HXP ammo.

just dont panic and trash all your surplus HXP 06 ammo, check function in the rifle your going to shoot it in, HXP is a safe round, and other then fitting in some tight chambers i havnt heard of any other safety issue.
