Gun grease, what do I use to clean? Wood too?

    Hello,

I bought a new Norinco M14icon and a CZ 858, both were in a plastic bag covered in a grease, (more the M14). Should I clean them? Take them all appart? What should I use? Should I clean the wood also? Etc...

    Thanks, any help would help.

As a general rule, its always a good idea to completely disassemble, clean and inspect every gun purchase. If you cannot do it, take it to someone who can.

Wipe them down with a rag, take them apart and clean them. Re-assemble and go shooting.
