    L96

    L96
A little light relief for the forum members..... It was a beautiful winters day today and so I just had to go to the range and here is a picture of 'me bab' (a brummie term for my little one!) shooting the L96 - one of ten. She was consistently getting Bulls and V Bulls at 300 yards no problem and has never shot full bore rifle before! But as my friend Down pipe Pete says (well that's what the girls call him?) they shoot like a dream!

What's the telescope Nobby? We replaced our S&B 6x 42's with that big monster but mine only came with the original standard one.

Yep, you're right, it is the Police issue Schmidt & Bender with the night sight attachment on top. My eyes are quite what they used to be so I've mothballed my S&B 6x42 !!

Maybe it's me, but I just have this niggling doubt in the back of my mind when I hear the words Police, snipers, telescopic sights and L96's being used together. It's like hearing the words Rover, rust-free and reliable used together. Something just doesn't gel

I daresay (to slightly change a phrase involving L42s, nightsights and urban terrorists) that many an escaped bull has met his maker in the crosshairs of a police, erm, (sorry peter) sniper!

How come when AI's are discussed its always L96A1'S or L115A3'S?

No one ever mentions L118A1's I know they have then but never seem to be discussed.

Given the discussion on optics, recently found this GREEN SuB 6x42 on ebay. Except for the rusted screws on the mount, it looks pretty good:
