    My two favourite .303's

Just a pic of my two favourite .303's.

One of my beloved HT's with a Lithgowicon SMLE which I got for my 18th birthday a long time ago.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Very envious of the HT.

I can't remember what I got for my 18th, but I wish it was a HT.

May be if I am good, Santa might bring me one next year??

For the pic, it appears the the HT is built on a Mk III*. I can't see a mag cut-off.

What year is the rifle and scope?

    Happy days.

    Paul

I didn't get the HT for my birthday, my old man isn't that generous...

The HT is built on a Lithgowicon 1917 reciever and the Telescopic Sight is dated 1944. It is my pride and joy. I am currently restoring my second HT, which is slowly coming together.
