    Picts of my sporterized 03A3

This is a gun that my grandfather had for as long as I can remember. He did the stock carving himself. He like to carve oak leaves on his gun stocks.

    thanks for looking,
    dave

Stock looks like a 1950s vintage white line spacer! Fajen, Bishop & Herters, among others, sold semi-finished stocks for DIY types.

Hayward, That looks like a Fajen stock. that's my favorite sporter stock and your grandfather did a nice job on the carving. It's nice that he left the sights and finish alone. I think these rifles look perfect like this and still retain some of there military heritage. I had a very similar rifle that I took out to the range and fired a 1 inch group with the first 4 shots. What shocked me is about this is that I usually shoot scoped rifles because my eyes are not too good. The sights on these are really pretty good. Nice rifle! Salt Flat
