If this is a MKIm. Is it an John Inglis? Please look for JI or JII stampings. I don't think the Enfield built Brens were stamped MKIm. Nice gun, enjoy shooting with history!

It is a JI Mk1 m, theres a few give aways, a sqare dished gas shield, shaping to the reciever around the rear sight (left and right), no Mk1 ED 1941 marking on the left side and you can just see BREN Mk on the right. The only similar looking Enfield gun would be a 5th stage intermediate of which there were about 4,000 max made, these had a dished curved outer gas shield, no shaping at the rear and Mk1 ED 1941 only on the left.

Thank you for the above info. I have a D/A MKIm made by John Inglis in 1942. Has telescopic bipod legs as well. Bought it as a 50th birthday present to my self!

Just an awesome video! Congratulations!! Too bad about the CA regulations... I left South OC for just that reason... How about another video at the range?

Harmoniums has other videos of his collection. Seen them on another site that I post upon. Well worth a look.

Harmoniums, Good video. However, you would find it a LOT easier to strip in sequence the Military way. Remove Butt group FIRST. Then remove internal working parts. THEN, Barrel & bipod. It is then not so awkward with the main reciever sliding about on the table trying to get the internals out!
It would be VERY nice to see a DETAILED close up of the Inner workings of the firing mech in the BUTT SLIDE Assembly. As well as the Mods inside the reciever to prevent the introduction of 'Normal' Full Auto components.
We dont get to see semi auto conversions in the UK
. they are not nessacary, as we are NOT allowed ANY Semi-Auto Firearms over .22" caliber!
Handguns in ANY calibre are also forbidden!
On the Plus side, we can OWN & Possess ANY firearm/Field Gun Etc ever made. Downside is, ONLY if it is Deactivated & Certified to that effect with a certificate of Deactivation!......

Plus we don't have the room indoors for a 25 pounder field gun or two!

Took mine to the range this week. At first it wouldn't fire. Found out I had forgotten to remove the chinese barrel.
(7.62x39) Fortunately I brought a spare barrel and then it worked fine both full and semi auto.
Still trying to make it work with 7.62 x39. Will feed and fire one round, but not continue.
