    Anybody want a good laugh?

Looks like 500 for the gun and the rest for the history lesson.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Holy smoke, that was a lot of pictures in that ad... he must be going for the world record for ad size. Pretty nice looking rifle, I think my Remington is pretty close to that one's serial.

I'd have said ex Canadianicon rifle, but I didn't see any signs it was one of the rifles that were later in the Danishicon lend/lease (no sticker and no changed front sight) programme. How did you come to the conclusion it's Danish, Chuck?

I've seen the S/Ned bolt also on other M1917s, and the S/N placement on the stock is usually behind the trigger and in front of the butt swivel. The markings on the stock are definately Canadian, also the rifle shows light rests of the "red stripe" in front. The scratched "107" is definately not military and done by an individual. But you could still be right with Danishicon as they received quite a lot of those from Canadaicon.
