    It is not easy to find in hardware/paint stores these days, but is readily available in Arts & Crafts shops - buy "cold pressed" - somewhat pricey for the small bottles, but a little goes a long way and the bottle will last a long time. Apply it as specified in the Manuals -- just little amounts on the palm of the hand very well rubbed in using long strokes - keep on rubbing until it is well absorbed and finish wiping off the excess using a soft cloth - the stock/handguard will then not be sticky to the touch at all.
