Any other Retro Black rifle owners out there?

If possible (as I am new to ARs M16s), I would like to see any other dreaded "Black rifle" images, mods, or what has worked for you.

I am impressed with the accuracy of the rifle past and present ( shot expert in AF boot). My A2 does just as well. Fitted it with a Burris 4x12 as I had one laying around. Have not taken it into the field as the weather has been so crappy including snow!

Ammo is out there but can be costly. Would like to get some 62 grain ammo as my rifle has a 1 in 7 twist , Shoots .223 as well as 5.56

I have been contemplating building one using one of the surplus kits that are floating around combined with a current production lower. Obviously not possiable to be truly authentic but would be a nice addition to the collection.

    AF,
I am currently building 2 of them. One is the carbine that I have posted on, in this forum. I like the idea of exploring the early M15/ AR15 platform. Vietnam is of interest to me, so any rifles that played a role in that "police action", I like...
BTW, love the photos people have posted... keep 'em coming!

Not a repro just a early SP1 in the three digit serial number range. Original magazine had the small "CAL.223" marking
