A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. April 25th, remember .....................

Dawn Parade to remember the actual landings.

Orange Public School captains Zac Collins and Eliza Owens carry a wreath.

St Theresa's School Leaders attended the Porirua Anzac Day service this year and were part of the ceremonial procession which included different organisations in the area, as well as soldiers who had served in past wars and conflicts.

Two of our students laid a wreath on behalf of the school community.

    Lest we forget.

It's always good to see the old boys march - we go to Sandgate here in Brisbane to cheer on my father in law (Japanicon oocupation force, Korea, and a bit of Malaya, before he got blown sideways). Kind of sad to to see fewer and fewer marching each year as time takes a toll, but it's encouraging to see a good number of people attending, especially the school kids. Lest we forget.....

About 2 weeks before ANZAC Day there was a report that some spineless bunch of clowns(politicians I think) wanted ANZAC Day downgraded as it wasn't that important in their view anymore to the population but the numbers attending seem to get bigger every year as the relatives of those who have passed away march for them.
A lot of these spineless clowns don't realise that if it wasn't for the sacrifice of those Diggers they wouldn't be speaking English now or for that fact be born or even have the freedoms that they have to be able to even put such rubbish and dribble out.

Well said thus the "Lest we forget". The sacrifices made by generations past are in my view are the primary reason to preserve the implements of freedom as well as the implements of opression.
