    6.5 snap caps

    Does anyone sell japanese 6.5 snap caps? Would 6.5x52 carcano work?

    Arisaka chambers may be loose, but not that loose!
    Basically, the Arisaka cartridge is shorter and fatter than the Carcano.

    There are some pretty expensive Japaneseicon examples ($15++), but you'd be better off making some of your own.

    If you plan to do a lot of dry firing with your rifle, go ahead an get a proper snap cap for it. A fired case or pencil eraser simply doesn't make an adequate snap cap for a rifle.
