Chinese M43 Ammo (lots of pics)

I received these two cases the other day and opened one up tonight. Factory 61, 1969 dated, and copper-washed case and bullet. I might have to order some more. This is the first Chinese 7.62x39 that I've purchased in over 20 years. I've not seen this tin and wire-opener style before.

The other crate markings were painted over and not visible.

Lid off. Note the two "D" handles for pulling the wire openers.

    Tin markings.

I didn't realize both ends needed to be pulled at the same time.

How the handles should have been used.

    Tin open.

    Headstamp close-up.

Klinton stopped the import of Chinese arms/ammo into the US. I still haven't shot a single round of mine. Mind your ammo is corrosive and contain a mild steel core projectile.

In the 10's of thousands of 7.62x39 rounds I've shot, I don't believe I've ever fired any that was non-corrosive or non-steel-core! Mind you, the vast majority of it was Czechicon M43.
