Bought this three weeks ago or so---part of a group of six rifles I acquired from an estate that showed up at the shop.

And the surprising bore---



The bore condition really sold the rifle, that and the fact that only the front band has a nonmatching number.
Here is a shot of the first four, including this rifle, a K31, an M28/30 and an Enterprise 44 rework of a 98k.



It will take some time for me to repair the cut and return the rifle to firing condition, but it shall be done.

Nice collection. Hardly see 28/30's any more.

Someone cut mine off just past the ft. band -rounded the tip off then ground off the bayonet lug.
