K98k Sling?

I am about to buy a repro. K98k sling but they are offered in two colours: brown and black.

So assuming WWII Heer, what colour should I buy?

BTW, my apologies if this is is a real stupid question. I have never owned a K98k before.

I have several K98 slings. They are all brown.

I would go with brown. Not saying black wasn't used, I don't know but all the slings I've ever seen were brown.
