Well today I ran into old, I mean OLD, Carcano ammo. Italian military brass and primers with 160gr Soft points. I bet this stuff was made 40 years ago. They pulled the FMJs and replaced them with SPs.
Pity I could not find a bunch of FMJ Carcano slugs!
Of course that ex-military stuff I bet has corrosive primers to. Will see what I find there tomorrow as I'm allowed to rummage back there where they have tons of old stuff (and I love doing that!)

Found some WW2 Carcano ammo! Yes real FMJ in 6.5 AND 7.35. Dunno if I'll shoot it or not. Also some .303 FMJ and steal jacked U.S. .45 ACP ammo. And what looks like 6.5x55 FMJ (I'll have to bring my calipers Thursday to make sure.)
I'm afraid it's all collector stuff now.
