I'm not a Krag
specialist, but I think you did very well! "Outstanding" would be more like it. I don't have my Krag book here, so hopefully one of our more knowledgable members will "pick it apart" shortly. But I'm thinking it's going to be good news.

1902 sight, modified front sight, though it retains the early rivet head pin. 1902 Handguard. Otherwise it appears original, though I can't vouch for the cleaning rod. Uncut guide rib, square back cocking piece, pinned safety, screw through the extractor rather than a rivet. Original 92 side plate, and square toe buttstock. Quite a find. No twinge of guilt once you got out the door?

No not a bit of guilt. The pawn man should have been up on his game. I just took advantage of his ignorance.
