Milsurp Interests Poll

Hey all, newbie on this forum. I wanted to take the time and put in my .02 cents on this poll. I have several M91/30's, one M91, one M24/47 mauser, and a couple Steyr M95 carbines. Not as many as some, but I have only been collecting for less than one year. Thanks for having me, I hope I can contribute.

I ticked Enfields. I live just down the road to the RSAF at Enfield Lock. Have D/A SMLE, No4 Longbranch, 2 Inglis Brens and 2X Stenguns. However my main interest is Bayonets.

I have noticed an increase in the number of Carcano available. I'd like to see a Carcano/Italian rifle forum, or at least an Other Foreign Rifle Forum like the Other Service Pistol Forum.

Hi All,

I'm new to this site but I've been collecting for more than 6 years. Started out with a 1943 Lee Enfield Number 4 Mk 1* (Savage, U.S. Property). Next came Mosin Nagant's, Mauser's, Steyr's, K31, SKS, Ross and a Carcano. I have guns from 17 different country's involed in WW1 and WW2. I also collect hand guns from WW1 thru WW2 and early Smith and Wesson's. And I reload. I love the history, I love the workmanship that went into making them and most of all I love to shoot them.

At this point I'm into pretty much all bolt action milsurps, although a few semi-autos have crept in. I get the biggest kick out of those that require making up brass and bullets, my favourite probably being the Swiss Vetterli. I like shooting the Swedes, Swiss, Lee Enfields and the Mausers. At some point I'll likely focus more tightly on 3-4 countries, as long as that doesn't mean selling.

I'm with you, Andy, but I would also throw in my Finn M-N and French MAS36. The lack of a Swiss vote option (or did I miss it?) in the original poll seems to be a big gap.

My "crept in" semi-autos include three M1 Garands, a MAS49/56, Swede AG42B, and Swede/Egyptian Hakim.

I added "Other" to me selection because most anything that catches my eye will do the trick.
Astra 400, Star Modelo Super B, Nagant revolver, C96, Romy Tokarev clones etc. have all found a place here from time to time.

I collect Lee Enfields, Finn Mosins, Swiss S-R, Swedish, U.S. & early German rifles, but love 'em all.
