    newbie w/garand questions

    Howdy! first post here. i have found an h&r m1 with barrel, receiver, bolt all h&r, trigger housing sa, barrel appears strong appears it maybe arsenal refinished, here's the BUT...it has an import mark r/s barrel "ari cd arlington, va", faint and very small. does this destroy value of an otherwise great looking rifle? any advise greatly appreciated

    barrel "ari cd arlington, va"

    "ARL OD ARLINGTON, VA" = Arlington Ordnance of Arlington ,VA
    Imported M-1 Garands and M-1 Carbines till 1994.
    They were returned from Korea,for a fee.

    It doesn't have much collectors value. I'd take it and see if it shoots and just keep it for that. Look harder for a collector. They cost more and seldom "fall" into one's hands. Show us some pics anyway...
