    Michigan NG REm-Lee Bayonet

I recently examined a Remington M897 bayonet with a steel body scabbard and a leather integral frog fitted with long brass hooks which will fit Mills type belts with eyelets.
It was obtained in Michigan so I think it may be part of the Michigan Rem-Lee contract.
Does anyone have a confirmed Mich NG bayonet or a pic of one showing the scabbard?

In his book on Remington bayonets, Janzen indicates that the Michigan State contract included the short export knife bayonet, with the scabbard type you describe. There is a picture on page 109 showing the Michigan troops with their Remington-Lee rifles and short knife bayonets.

Thank you, I have Jansen's book as well as the Rem Lee book with that photo. The belt attachment hooks are 3 1/4" long and I was wondering if they are original.
