If you want to see a movie that has some good carbine action it......
I've seen others, and I suppose we could list them all we know if you want, but I just watched this movie called "All Clear" on Netflix.
It was a movie entirely filmed in Korea, and they used actual soldiers for filming. And I'm pretty sure some of the shooting was with live ammo. It was wonderful to watch. It wasn't a documentary, it was a movie with a plot. But... well, you'd just have to see it. There were some M2's in it also. But it had both M1
and M2 carbines. And of course Garands and one guy was carrying and shooting a BAR.
There is also some helicopter action and Jets too. Some off of a carrier.
Pretty neat I thought.
Of course there are many war movies that show carbines. But this was the latest I've seen. I can list the ones off the top of my head though....
Windtalkers, The Pacific, Band of Brothers, Bridge at Remagen, Aaaaaah... Saving Private Ryan of course, Dang, now I'm drawing a blank... I saw this one a long time ago where they were escorting a Fake Churchill around late in WWII and trying to create a diversion for the real Churchill. And they were using M2's. I forget that guys name who was the main character....
Anyways.... If anyone else wants to add what movies they enjoyed seeing Carbines in, that would be wonderful.

I saw "To Hell and Back" when I was about 10 years old and never forgot it. I didn't know what an M1 Carbine
was at the time. I saw it again a couple years ago and still liked it. - Bob

Pork Chop Hill had a decent amount of carbine footage in it...not a bad movie either.

Oh yeah, that scene where they took the hilltop was pretty good though. It's funny, I just watched it on Netflix again, and they had a longer version of what they showed in the theaters, I believe. And for some reason I liked it better. I know it was all "emotional" and a lot of it was silly, but it made more sense in the longer version to me, for some reason.

To me, the only film Sean Penn ever made worth watching isn't even worth watching. That is Fast Times at Ridgemount High.

The Longest Day is a good flick with lots of carbines. Dr. Strangelove has a lot of carbines in the assault on the airbase scene. I love the scene where Col. "Bat" Guano shoots the Coke machine with the Carbine to get change for Peter Sellers to call the President. He tells him he is going to have to answer to the Coke A Cola company for dame caused (while preventing WWIII!). The Bridge at Remagen has a lot of carbines, though IIRC, they use some 30 rounders in it. Also, the TV series Combat has carbines in it, too.

30 rounders and bayonet lugs. I just watched it last night. Still a good movie.
