    M-1 .30 CARBINE BARREL AND 13 PARTS | eBay

I hope I copied this ebay auction page right so you can open it. I am dumbfounded that this lot sold yesterday for $430. That is an M8 grenade launcher, a bolt, a barrel and about 11 more parts and the last bid was on October 8. I didn't pay attention because I don't have $1000-$1500 to blow and it apparently sold for $430. Ebay fools me sometimes but this is beyond belief. What am I missing? Please tell me - I won't be able to sleep!!!!

If the barrel is OK, I think someone got a good deal.

The price would be about right. There is more rust on those parts then they are almost worth. The best unrusted part was the launcher. Even the threads on the castle nut are rusted.

I guess I just thought the launcher was worth about what the whole lot went for, or more, based upon some recent auction sale prices. I didn't notice any rust. My mistake, but I still think the seller got a pretty good deal. Thanks for opinions.

Since the supply of CMPicon barreled receivers dried up, and CMP carbines are long extinct, pressure is down on Carbine parts. Prices are starting to come back down.

The barrel doesn't look too rusty to me, although you can't see how bad the bore is. The rear sight looks beautiful. And yeah, the launcher. I agree, I think it's a good deal, especially if the barrel is good to go. Hard to tell without seeing it. But I'll tell you something, when we got my Dad's CMPicon garand, I cleaned it and cleaned it and it stilled looked like a sewer pipe. But you know, that thing still seem to shoot straight and accuracy wasn't all that bad. I seemed normal.
