Question on the best gun vise to buy

I'm looking for recommendations on what the best gun vise would be to buy. It will be for cleaning, maintenance, repairs, etc. Must be able to hold all long guns and pistols would be nice also. I want one that is sturdy and Hollinger proof! I've looked at a few but none jump out at me. TIA

Versa Vice. Have one that's about as old as i. Get also the Brownell's magic squishy vice jaw pads to go in it. Otherwise, I tend to use an old Columbian for big stuff and various Kurt milling vices.

Goes all the way to the floor. But the structure it's in is a wee mite precarious!

I've looked at the Tipton Best Gun Vise, the MTM Gun Vise and the Lyman Revolution. The Lyman looks more sturdy but I just don't know.

Vices are like holsters. One's never enough. They never quite do everything you want. And there's always something to get annoyed about.

For cleaning, maintenance, repairs and such. I worked on Sturm Ruger 44 carbine this week and with the scope mounted it was a pain in the neck with it flopping all over the bench. The trigger housing, which was the issue, was easy as it was held in place by my Morgan Chicago #40 Bench Vise with leather pads. I just thought it would be nice to have a set up that would hold the gun secure for odds and ends type work.

Maybe all you need are the fancy Brownell's vice jaw pads. Will grip the stock sercurely without marring. But, again, like holsters, one tends to build a collection of "cast offs" that rarely get used. But when the right situation comes up you have options.
