Now exploring a Eddystone P14 with TZ sight (PH5B) at 100yds. Bright sunny day, 80degree with a persistent moderate wind blowing into my 7oclock. Zeroed with Kynoch '51 Mk7, second target S&B 180G.
Celebrated the 4th with a day at the range. Adjusted the rear sight and filed down the front on my Chiappa M1-22. I think I have it dialed in now to do the same to the M1a1-22.
Older photo of my 3 .22LR at the range. The scoped 10/22 is undergoing some modifications. The M1-22 is dialed in, and the M1a1-22 is next.
Here is my first entry for this gun 25yards, Class 6.5 (reproduction type Military.22 rifle)
A closer look with info on the group:
OK, Bigduke6, prodded by you and Jmoore, here is my first entry for 2013 in Class 1. An original 1896 Boer Carbine (see Appendix in Ball, 5th Ed.) No.4114.
Looks like this:

- Well, almost. The ring add-on to the backsight fell off, and turned out to have been superglued. Not a good idea, since the stuff is quite brittle. And most definitely not from 1896!
Shoots like this:

A beautiful little rifle, and a pleasure to shoot.
I do not think that many people shoot a full-bore rifle with rimfire cartridges.

But it's worth it!
Is it possible to take part at the shooting? I have the time now and it would be nice to do it.
Ok, will start tomorrow!
Ok, here is my starter. Shot today with my Winchester M1917 in .30-06.
Had another brief chance to work with the P14 - this time using the std ladder sight. Using HPX Mk7. I found that at 100yds the POI is 9 inches high and 3 inches right - so I went Kentucky - then "pulled" one!
Ill be back after some tweaking - no time this sitting. I have a +0.060" front blade installed - may try a 0.075" to push the muzzle down a touch on the ladder sight - this may afford me the desired couple more clicks depression on the PH5B also.
