I have just won a auction for a No32mk1 scope, and as it is costing what to me is a large amount of money I want to make sure its not a fake/reproduction.
Unfortunately I won't get to see the scope myself for 8 months as I'm currently out of my country for work so Im going to have to get others to do the checking for me.
Im struggling to find descriptions anywhere about how to spot a fake,so if it is already described somewhere a link would be much appreciated

Surely, if you've already won it, then it's already too late to worry whether it's a fake or not! The time to check was BEFOREhand.

Put a couple of photos up PDQ after delivery and you'll get a response equally PDQ. It's the wisdom of the crowd.

Yep post pics or link to the auction. In truth there aren't really no32 'fakes' just originals and the recent repros.

I can see clearly what looks like 192 on the front lower mount and a not so distinct number on the rear mount which looks like 245918, no worries on that but it would be good to see the text and S/N on the tube to confirm, as well as you being happy the optics are going to do what they say on the box.
Normally found with matching ring numbers, the 245918 or whatever it is could be the original rifle

    Looks 99 - 44/100% kosher from the photo's.
A nice clean scope that even if it has some internal problems it can be rebuild to "as new....."
I think you did well, but then we don't know what you paid for it, and even then "you never pay too much, you just buy too soon"
