Random Enfield revolver attack!

No.2 Mk.I* 1940 dated. Very similar to the one shown below, but with all sorts of release from service marks.



Will upload a photo or two when I get some shots done. In actual fact the intent of today's road trip was to purchase a Colt Shooting Master .38 Special, but it wasn't quite as nice as remembered from a hurried look the week before, but late-type-wood gripped Enfields show up almost never, so it wasn't a waste of petrol over 150 miles after all. (Just 90 miles wasted as the No.2 was rather closer...)

Nice revolver. jmoore. I'd like to get one at some point, but will need to get much smarter about what to look for in one before I would feel confident picking one up.

Here's my March purchase: a Canadian Mk II* 3-band Snider-Enfield - 1864 lock date and issued originally to the 36th Peel Battalion of Infantry (now part of the Lorne Scots) in Ontario.

Need to find an original ramrod, but darn pleased with this - my first Snider.
