As I understand it, despite the looks, they have more in common with a Mauser KKW than a Mosin. In fact, I think they used KKW-type receivers and inlet them into M44 stocks & added an M44 sight so that the trainers would feel more like hte Polish M44 service rifle.

They're a fun little rifle to shoot. The maximum range on the sight is 100 meters, but it's graduated in 5 meter increments from 25 to 100.

They'd look alot better if the bbl were 3" or 4" shorter IMHO...
