    My recent finding in Italyicon has been a M1916 original cleaning rod for M1903 rifle same as this one



    It's without its canvas case unfortunatly ...

    Guilty. But the average man of that period must have been smaller than now. I am of average size and most of the WWII period gear including sholder holsters belts etc. are a bit small.

    Thank you for posting me this Mark Knopfler song, I never listen to this before !



    I have always been a big fan of Mark Knopfler when he was playing with his band, Dire Straits in the '80s and '90s.
    I went and listen their first concert in my town, Milano, in June 1981.
    At that time I was almost 20 years old and I was standing all the time holding two analogic old microphones and I recorded on tape all their concert.
    I have been searching all the web (eMule and other file sharing sites) but I could never find a similar recording of that concert in Milan so I think I am the only one to have a copy.

    Just for your ears the intro song of that concert, Once Upon A Time In The West that I remastered few years ago.
