    M2 Winchester Trigger Housing Markings

Can anyone supply me with images of a M2 Winchester Trigger housing with the markings? Did Winchester change their Trigger Housing Markings when then went from manufacturing a M1icon Trigger Housing to a M2 Trigger Housing? Were the Housings different to accommodate the Disconnector next to the Hammer?

Other then the cut on the right side of the housing for the disconnector lever and the cuts on the other side for the selector switch spring they are the same. The space needed for the disconnector block is made from some metal removed from the M2 hammer.

Not exactly. I think there is also some additional clearance cut out under the sear as well as a bevel cut around the hole for the disconnector lever's pin (which replaces the trigger housing pin) holding the housing to the receiver in the original M2 housings.

The markings "W" and possibly others like "A" and "O" are the same.

I'll try to post a picture tomorrow if I have one

Comparing a type 3 housing on the left, the right depicts additional cuts made for the type 6 housing. Both were made by Winchester.

The bevel was made on the right lug only. Modified housings generally lack these features

Crossed cannons, your type three housing [left housing] look like it has impact marks from a "dogleg" type hammer use at sometime in its past.

Yes it does, both hammer types were used at some point with this T3 housing although in real life the old hammer strikes aren't as clear as they appear in the picture
