US Property serial number - year?

I just purchased a nice old Savage "US Property". Although the wood has been Bubba'd, I plan to put full wood on it. I posted pics of it on the General forum:

I would be grateful if someone could direct me to a site that I could check the year it was made via the S.N.. Thanks in advance!!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. kjohn, Really, this site can determine the year of manufacture. I read where there are two digits blacked out. 0CXXXX would be a Mk.I. I don't see a bolthead release behind the charger guide so yours is a Mk.I*. 99C9999 is the last of the first block. After 99C9999 S-S restarted with a 0 block, but with five digits, 0C00001.

Some S-S action bodies were dated even tho' the practice was generally discontinued and rifles with 90CXXXX have had a 1944 date. S-S stopped manufacture around mid 1944. Your rifle was manufactured in 1944.
