    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.  Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.     You beat me to it. Every K-31 is special. Like a fine Swissicon watch but it fires a projectile.

    The stock shows (has) a 47 under the butt plate but by the serial # list it is 1950.

    The stock dates are usually a year earlier to allow them to dry. Three years is a long stretch but they may not have been in much of a rush with the war over and no outside threats. Does the bayonet match?

    These are my favorite series of rifles and I almost didn't buy one because they weren't involved in the wars. Once I got one, the others quickly followed. K11, 1911. All are great shooters. Ammo is still available and cheap compared to most everything else out there right now.

    The bayonet does not match.

    Had a chance to shoot one last week and .... well now one ended up in the safe. Funny how that works

    For $250 to $350 I think these are a steal.

    Picked up some GP11 too.

    Have a Clamp-on Muzzle Break on order as they do kick a bit.
