And if anyone has a copy of the 1970 Tommy L. Bish Gunsmithing book, it has a chapter on building a nice "sporter", on a large Martini action.

My copy has disappeared, "somewhere", however, there seem to be lots of them available on the internet, from many of "the usual suspects".

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. In an article by Frank De Haas titled "Barrel Shank and Thread Sizes" you will find a drawing for the Martini shank and threadsize. This appeared in the old NRA Gunsmithing Guide. Salt Flat

You have the action, If you are going to do the work your self, just measure the barrel threads with your inside spring caliper.

IMA has levers and extractors--the correct ones. Numrich does not know the difference between Greener and Martini Henry.
