What about the S51 butt and the pantographed serial number on the bolt.
I'd pass. In fact, I did.

Is this because the numbers on the stock are different or is there something else I'm missing?

ALL 90L block snipers were originally fitted with REL C.No32 Mk3 scopes.

Did the mk2 scopes go into the 600+ serial block? I seem to recall that some of the chinese copies were done up with Canadianicon markings and serial numbers out of the normal production range. Since this rifle has a repro bracket, could it be a repro scope?

If the scope is original, then perhaps the final selling price was not that bad. But is the scope and brackets were both modern repros, I would suggest the price might be a little high.

Scope appears to be an original. REL Mk2 scopes run to approx. Serial #700

    Mine rifle, Longbranch 1945 No4 (T) 90L8155.
    Scope, R.E.L. Canadaicon Mk3 151-C
