    With a little help I have the top cover....it will not fit the E1 but .......it fits the collection.
    All I need now is the sight cover.

    The sight cover was a taper rolled sheet of steel that was sprung onto the bracket. Not difficult to make I'd suggest Skippy!

    That piece of sharp metal fits FAR TO CLOSE to the firer's eye.

    Watch those Britishicon Pathe videos on the EM2 & X8E2 and cringe with me...

    This video from forgotten weapons appears to have an (upside down) R&J Beck Unit Optic inside an improved mount and mounted on a garand.
