The $20.00 Arisaka- Needs to be rebuilt

    Gents,
A few months back, I stumbled on one of those great deals... that only happen to the "other guy".
I went to a local gun show and found within the first few tables, places to spend ALL my money.
Second table was this Arisakaicon rifle:

Missing key components, and NOT matching:

Yep, ground also. Bolt is stripped.

    Arsenal and Serial Number:

So whatcha guys think... Was giving $20.00 fair price??

Yes, its missing a lot of parts, but I couldn't pass for the $20.00. The buy in was so low, I can spend some extra cash putting it back together...

I try to buy them where I find them. They are not being made anymore.

Midmich, A 20 dollar rifle is impossible to leave on the table. The safeties and firing pins are getting pricey but would make it a shooter. Cooll! Salt Flat

    Gents,
Thanks for the gentle and kind words!
I feel that I actually stole it... although there is much work to be done. The stock is a primary concern, as I think that bubba did some sanding on the rear band area, and contoured the region... making a splice difficult.
However, when things slow down a bit, I will be working on this project...

As I am terrible at reading series.... what does it look like? I would like to search for missing parts.

It does have a nice chrome bore and the non matching bolt is chrome faced!
