A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Don,

No insult intended. You should have left it as is.

    Thanks

Gently removing a recent layer of shabbily applied varnish and a light treatment of linseed oilicon offends you? Come on mate all I did was undo a nasty modern customisation and returned it to what it WOULD look like had it not been butchered.

they're supposed to look like Germanicon combat rifles, not Russianicon captured or other allied bubba'd rifles. it looks great now.

Nice work, it looks way better. I have its older brother S42 1937 all metal matching. just about went hungry when I bought it when I was your age (if you were born in 1990). but I've seen only a couple of k98s for sale which were as good and that was years ago. nowdays non captured K98s are scarce anywhere. Though a mate got a real nice one from Scandinavia somewhere.
    Keep Calm
    and
    Fix Bayonets
