Hey Tom. I signed onto GB and checked the whole history and disposition of this rifle.... It looks like you got out of the deal and still managed to get positive feedback and comments from the seller of this thing...

He re-listed it a couple of times and finally sold it for his original asking price with "No Refunds or Returns"

I'm very happy to see that you got out from under of it Tom.

    Take care,
    ~ Harlan

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. That thing is a pile of reproduction parts put on a Russianicon Capture.

Anytime you see a scopeless Germanicon sniper for less than $5000 get suspicious. An original LSR with mount will be about $8000 in just decent condition. German snipers are expensive and very widely faked. That is one is a very poor fake.

The complete lack of decent close ups is an alarm bell for me when the seller is asking for significant money. Most legitimate sellers will show all numbered parts as well as acceptance and firing proofs up close. It is a nice looking rifle but a put together outfit completely. Glad you were able to back out.
