    03A3 Won't Feed, Help please.

I've got an all original 1943 Remington 1903A3 that is having a problem feeding the next round. It's almost as if the bolt is not going back far enough to pick it up, but the bolt seems to be retracting as far as it should. Any ideas?

P.S. Is this how the follower is supposed to be installed? I don't know if this could be the issue.

Opposite the bolt handle is a tab it should be up in the on position. The off position is for one cartridge at a time. Center is to remove the bolt.

Goes to show how little I know about bolt action rifles! My specialty lies in the Garands and Carbines. I do remember the switch being off, so after reading yalls posts, I'm sure that's what it is. Thanks a ton guys and I shall report back!
