    2014 Norinco 7.62x39mm

It's not really surplus ammo, but it certainly works in plenty of surplus and military-style rifles.

Here's a few pics of some ammo I just received. Prior to this batch, the "newest" Chinese ammo I've seen in Canadaicon has been mid-90's production. It's advertised as steel core, but I haven't sectioned any to confirm.

Factory 311 on the headstamp (though the "fun fact sheet" say Factory 941), packed 20 rounds to a box, 30 boxes to a plastic bag, 2 bags to a cardboard case of 1200.

I only bought two cases of it, so not that much shooting.

I've got lots of Czechicon and older Chinese surplus to shoot off first.

Agree the Norinco ammo was always accurate compared to all the others. Good quality ammo and a great price years ago when we could get it here in the states.

Years ago I bought a case of 7.62X51. Chrono'd certain ones and got 10 FPS between them. I've since tried to duplicate that with hand loads but have never succeeded.
