A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. That's not what was said. Those two pages on the M1icon Carbine provide no info that hasn't been known for many decades and reprinted numerous times.

It was a good post imntxs564... I knew most of it, but I saw a couple of WWII products from Inland I didn't know about.

Brian has probably forgotten more than I'll ever know about M1icon Carbines.... He knows SO much I think sometimes he forgets there are knew carbine enthusiasts who are trying to learn.

I read everything, I also remember a lot of what I read. I know that Inland never published a serial number chart that shows the date when each was manufactured. The closest they came to anything resembling such were their test reports. I also know there is not an accurate serial number to date chart available on any web page. If you have found one tell us when serial number 4,975,365 was made.
